Link Cards
Questions and answers
Where do I start after my order?
Sign in at www.lumacards.com/dashboard with the e-mail address used for your order: click “Send me the link” and open the sign-in link you receive by e-mail (valid for 30 minutes, no password needed). In “My page”, fill in your identity (name shown, tagline, logo, cover photo), your colours, your review links, your social networks and your buttons, and check the result in the live preview. Click “Save and publish”: your page is online straight away. The getting started guide (PDF) then helps you place your supports.
Can I change my page once the cards are printed?
Yes, as often as you like. Your cards and table tents lead to a Lumacards address: everything you change in “My page” applies immediately to all your supports, with no reprinting. In “Order and display of the blocks”, the Move up and Move down arrows change the order of the blocks (Reviews, Social networks, Buttons, Tips) and the switch shows or hides each one. As long as the bar at the bottom says “Unsaved changes”, nothing is published: click “Save and publish”.
Which link should I use to get Google reviews?
In “Review sites”, paste the link to your review page for each platform. For Google, use the review link provided by your Google Business Profile: it opens the review form directly. The “What the Reviews block offers” setting lets you show review sites only, review sites and the service rating, or the service rating only. Once saved, check the result with “Open the page”.
The NFC card does not respond when I hold a phone near it: what should I do?
On iPhone, hold the top of the phone near the card with the screen unlocked; on iPhone 7, 8 and X, open the NFC Tag Reader from Control Centre first. On Android, hold the middle of the back of the phone near the card and check that NFC is switched on in Settings. A thick or metal case can block the reading: try without it. If the phone has no NFC, the QR code printed on the back of NFC cards opens the same page with the camera; table tents and QR code cards work by QR code only.
How do I name and identify my cards and table tents?
In “My cards”, each card, table tent or QR code has its own address (www.lumacards.com/c/…). Give it a name, for example “Table 4” or “Counter”, and an area or person if useful, then click Save. The number of reads for each support appears underneath, in total and over 30 days, and the Overview page ranks them under “Reads by card”: you can see which spot gets your page opened. To identify a support in your hand, point the camera at its QR code: the address shown ends with its code.
A card or table tent has been lost or stolen: what should I do?
In “My cards”, click Switch off under the support concerned: it no longer opens your page and shows “This link is no longer active”. Your other supports keep working as usual. If you find it again, click Switch back on. To replace it, order new supports from Order.
How do I order more cards, table tents or a second page?
Click Order at the top of your dashboard, then choose NFC cards, QR code cards · no chip, Table tents or Online page. For supports, select under “These supports open” the page they should be linked to: they join the same dashboard. You receive a free proof by e-mail, then your order is dispatched within 6 to 8 working days; the new supports appear in “My cards”. An extra page is created as soon as payment is received: at the top of “My page”, the “Page” choice lets you switch from one to the other.
What do the statistics measure?
The Overview page shows the last 30 days: reads (each opening of your page, by NFC, QR code or link, counted together), taps to review sites, to social networks and on your buttons, then the detail per day, by destination, by card and by country. A tap to Google means a customer opened the review page, not that they posted a review. For the full history, download “Activity: reads, taps and ratings (CSV)” from Account > Your data. Reads are recorded without any personal data about your visitors.
How do the service rating and tips work?
Both optional features are set up in “My page”. With the service rating, your customers rate their experience from 1 to 5 stars: the rating is sent straight to you and is never published, and you can be alerted by e-mail as soon as a 1 or 2-star rating arrives. To switch it on, tick the box confirming that your staff have been informed of this rating system. Tips send the customer to your own payment link: the money never goes through Lumacards, which only records the amount chosen for your statistics.
What happens at the end of the period I chose?
The end date is shown in Account > Overview (“Next end of validity”) and under each support in “My cards”. We let you know by e-mail from three months beforehand, and the “To extend” block appears on your Overview page: choose 1, 2 or 3 years, then click Extend, at the current rate. Nothing renews on its own and nothing is charged unless you act. Without an extension, your supports show “This link is no longer active” from the end date; your settings and data are kept for 12 months, and an extension during that time switches everything back on as it was, with the same cards and the same addresses.
