Custom identification cards & ID badge printing

Our standard minimum order is 50 badges. This covers both uniform designs and personalised badges carrying a photo, name, function or category label. For organisations issuing badges in smaller batches throughout the year — new joiners, replacements, visitor stock — we can also plan recurring production. Mention it in your quote request and we will propose a schedule aligned with your HR or front-desk cycle.

Yes. Photo personalisation is the most common request for ID badges. Provide a structured file (CSV or Excel) with directory data and a linked folder of individual photos. We check image resolution and cropping consistency before production so that every badge meets the same professional standard across the whole batch.

We produce badges for the main corporate and event access standards — HID Prox, Mifare Classic, Mifare DESFire, iCLASS, Legic, EM4xxx, and magnetic stripe (HiCo / LoCo). Encoding parameters are validated with your access provider or facility manager before production, and reader testing is performed on encoded batches.

Yes. Badge programmes often require distinct visual treatments per category. We can print several visual variations within a single order — for example a standard Employee badge, a Visitor badge with a coloured border, a Contractor badge with a date validity zone and a VIP / Speaker badge with foil stamping — and deliver them organised by category.

Standard PVC 0.76 mm is the reference for permanent staff badges and comfortably handles 3 to 5 years of daily wear on a lanyard or clip. For demanding environments (industrial, outdoor, warehouse) polyester offers higher resistance to bending and temperature variations. Lamination (gloss or matte) further protects the print surface against lanyard friction and pocket handling.

Holder photos should be supplied as individual JPEG or PNG files, with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi at the final printed size (approximately 400 × 500 px for a standard badge photo zone). A consistent crop — portrait orientation, shoulders included, plain background — produces the most professional result. Each photo file should be named after the corresponding holder ID in your data file, so we can match them automatically during personalisation.

Yes. For every ID badge order we prepare a digital proof at no extra cost, and for projects with variable data we go one step further: a physical or high-resolution sample badge is generated using real holder data (photo, name, function, category) so you can validate the final rendering in context. Full production only starts once you approve this sample — no badges are printed without your explicit sign-off.

Yes. For organisations distributing badges individually — new-joiner kits, event registration envelopes, contractor packs — we can sort the batch by holder ID, alphabetical order, department or category before dispatch. We can also envelope each badge separately with the holder's name printed on the envelope. Base production runs 6 to 10 working days from proof approval, with express 2-4 day windows available. Delivery covers Europe and the UK with tracked shipping, and international dispatch is arranged on request.

Yes. Two routes are available. Template adaptation — share your brand guidelines, directory data structure and category hierarchy, and we adapt an existing badge template to your organisation. Full custom design — our in-house designers create the badge from scratch including photo zones, category variants (Employee / Visitor / VIP / Speaker) and access encoding visuals, with two revision rounds. Both routes are priced alongside the print order in a single tailored quotation. Matching badge holders and lanyards can also be produced in coordinated runs.
