Everything is settled online and in English, inside the EU single market: one quotation, one digital proof and one invoice in euro.
Quotation, proof and invoice are in English, with a single contact who knows your file. Cards are printed in Dutch, English or both, with accents such as é and ë reproduced exactly from a UTF-8 data file.
Keep the prefix (van, de, van der) in its own column of your data file: we print the full name, Sanne van der Berg, and sort the batch by surname. Our guide to variable data card printing explains the file.
Send us the written specification from your system provider (chip type, memory layout, keys): we encode to it and to your data file, never from a card you already hold.
No card is produced before you approve in writing a digital proof showing both sides, the finish and the first records of your data file.
With your Dutch VAT number, the invoice is issued without VAT under the intra-EU reverse charge, in euro. Payment by credit or debit card, or SEPA bank transfer.
Names, photos and employee or student numbers are processed under the GDPR (AVG in Dutch) and used only for production. A data processing agreement (verwerkersovereenkomst) can be provided.
Choosing the technology
The right card depends on what reads it: a door reader, a till scanner, a turnstile, a hotel lock or simply the human eye. All our cards use the ISO/IEC 7810 ID-1 format; the chip or barcode is chosen to match the equipment you already run.
| Use | Recommended card | Technology and standard |
|---|---|---|
| Building access and time registration (offices, plants) | Photo ID badge with chip | MIFARE DESFire EV2 or EV3, or MIFARE Classic 1K, 13.56 MHz, ISO/IEC 14443 A; EM4102 or T5577 at 125 kHz for older readers |
| Visitors and contractors at warehouses and distribution centres | Numbered visitor or contractor pass with holder | Barcode, QR code or 125 kHz chip, numbered in sequence, one colour per zone |
| Sports clubs and fitness clubs (check-in) | Membership card with number | MIFARE Classic 1K or 125 kHz chip for the turnstile, or Code 128 barcode for the front desk scanner |
| Hotel room keys | Key card for your lock system | MIFARE Classic or Ultralight EV1 (ISO/IEC 14443 A), or LoCo / HiCo magnetic stripe (ISO/IEC 7811) |
| Retail loyalty and gift cards | Barcode card, optional scratch-off panel | EAN-13 (GS1) or Code 128 barcode, QR code, unique code per card |
| Universities and colleges | Student or staff card with photo | Code 128 barcode, plus a 13.56 MHz chip for contactless campus access |
